I was thinking about the fairytale, the part where Lily is sitting in her garden with her visitors; the green snake, old woman, youth-Prince and Will of the Wisps. The old woman asks about replacing the vegetables taken by the Giant while she was on her way to visit Lily. She is informed that no flowering plants are to be found in this special waiting area of the spiritual world.
This statement struck me as strange. After decades of reading and exposure to many schools of thought about the spiritual world, the lack of flowers was ‘offensive.’ We have to realize that this statement was a plot convenience for Goethe, the author of the fairy tale. The Old Woman could solve her problem back in the physical world. The youth-Prince would end up solving his problem back in the physical world as well. The physical world is where we face our challenges and gain our successes.
Yet, such is not true according to the many readings and exposures that I have had to views about the life beyond and within this life. Accordingly, I will be initiating a listing of reading resources in the reference section of the blog menu. This listing will grow over time. So check often if you wish to be directed to reading material that pertains to this overall subject. Dave
