This illustration shows the beautiful Lily in her garden within a portion of the land of spirit. She has several visitors; the Old Lady, the Youth, the Green Snake and Will of the Wisps. They have all come for their own reasons.
The Old Lady has two issues. The first is to bring the small crystal-jewel that is the remains of her dog which ate the gold of Will, the Wisp. Her second reason is to deliver a message from the Old Man with the Lamp.
The Youth-Prince feels he has the most urgent need to visit Lily. His desire for her is so overwhelming that he is blind to everything else in his life. While here, Will of the Wisps shares his reason for visiting Lily. And, the Green Snake is, in a sense, the ‘driver of the car’ in that her ability to create a bridge from the physical world to the spiritual world has facilitated this important scene in the fairy tale.
In our own lives every meeting with another person, or with a group, is important. It just doesn’t happen for no reason. Messages are given and enlightenment are offered. We have to be aware of this, to be open and accepting. Even if the message is unsettling or seems inconsequential. The universe provides constant guidance and help. This meeting with Lily leads to many changes for each of the characters.
I want to direct the reader’s attention to the addition of essays on Basic Astrology that have been added to the menu selections. These essays are intended to help those who do not know astrology or who are in the early stages of learning astrology to understand the discussions. The essays are not intended to teach one how to practice astrology. For any who have questions now or later, please leave a comment. Dave
